The Centro Universitario de Ciencias Exactas e Ingenierías (CUCEI) is the division of the University of Guadalajara in Mexico dedicated to higher education in the fields of engineering, physical sciences, chemistry and mathematics. CUCEI currently serves 14,581 students in 18 undergraduate and 18 graduate programs. It also has 216 researchers from the National System of Researchers (SNI) and 380 professors with recognition from the Professional Development Program for Teachers (PRODEP).

In 1937, the university was reorganized by Constancio Hernández Alvirde,[9] issuing the Organic Law of the University of Guadalajara, which by that date had, in the field of exact sciences and engineering, the Polytechnic School, the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and the Astronomical and Meteorological Institute.[10] In 1937, the University of Guadalajara was reorganized.

Este estudio contribuye significativamente a la comprensión de la satisfacción y el rendimiento de los estudiantes en el entorno en línea. Los resultados de la investigación pueden ser de interés para los planificadores de la enseñanza superior, los profesores, los servicios de apoyo y los estudiantes de todo el mundo.
Según Puljak et al. [19], aunque los estudiantes se han mostrado mayoritariamente satisfechos con su adaptación al e-learning, han echado de menos las clases y la comunicación personal con sus profesores. Declararon que el e-learning no podía sustituir a las experiencias de aprendizaje regulares; sólo el 18,9% de los estudiantes estaban interesados en el e-learning exclusivamente a largo plazo. Se ha informado de que los profesores y los alumnos no están preparados para cambiar bruscamente de la enseñanza presencial a una plataforma digital [20].
Satisfacción de los estudiantes con el e-learningLa satisfacción de los estudiantes ha demostrado ser un indicador fiable para medir el éxito de la implantación de iniciativas basadas en las TIC en entornos de e-learning. Los estudiosos han documentado una fuerte relación entre la forma en que los estudiantes perciben su rendimiento académico y el grado de satisfacción de los estudiantes con sus entornos de aprendizaje electrónico [1, 29-31].
